The story so far
Knot Head Games started with one bad idea: a budget superhero with a weighted rope from the hardware store, up against a cursed castle full of rats. That idea turned into Gone Bonking, and the studio grew up around it.
A knothead is someone who doesn't know when to quit. We took it as a compliment. We make games that are loud, funny and a little unhinged, built in the open and shaped by the people who play them.
We publish, too. Small teams making strange games deserve someone in their corner who has already done the store page, the playtest and the launch week the hard way.
The mascot
Meet Knotty
Knotty is a monkey's fist: the heavy ball of a knot that sailors tie into the end of a line so it can be thrown. A knot with a weight inside, made to be flung at things. If you've played Rope Boy in Gone Bonking, you've met the family.
The bandage is from last time. The eyes were like that already.

How we work
Four rules we mostly follow
-
Funny first
If it doesn't make somebody at the desk laugh out loud, it goes back on the workbench.
-
Small on purpose
A small team means every idea gets a real look, and nothing gets lost in a meeting.
-
Playtest early
Builds go out before they're comfortable. Players find the fun faster than we do.
-
Ship, then keep going
We'd rather put a game in your hands and improve it every week than polish it in the dark.
